3M™ Automotive Window Films use a special film applied directly to the interior surface of a car's windows. The film is made up of multi-layer film technology that works together to deliver UV protection, heat rejection and privacy. It is designed to reduce solar heat transmission through the glass by increasing solar reflection (not necessarily visible reflection) and solar absorption.

Nothing completely stops fading, but 3M™ Automotive Window Films help reduce the major causes — UV light, visible light, and solar heat — prolonging the life of your furnishings, perhaps two to five times. Typically, UV is ~40% of the cause, visible light ~25%, and heat ~25%. The remaining 10% comes from humidity, pollutants, interior lights, dye stability, and more.

Here are the core metrics used on every tint spec sheet:

To make a claim under this warranty in Malaysia, first contact your car installer. If the installer is not available, simply contact 3M at 603-7888 2884. 3M will direct you to an installer selected by 3M to have your 3M™ Automotive Window Films inspected and, if your claim is covered, 3M will have the installer provide the stated remedy. Please retain your e-warranty copy as it must be presented along with the original invoice to receive warranty service.
